Biography

Kami Chisholm is a filmmaker, academic, and entrepreneur who has directed over a dozen films.

Her latest film, THE INSOMNIACS (2008), will air on MTV/Logo in Spring 2009 and was released on the SHE LIKES GIRLS 3 compilation DVD in retail outlets nationwide in December 2008. Her feature documentary, FTF: FEMALE TO FEMME (2008), is available from Frameline Distribution.

Chisholm holds a PhD in History of Consciousness (Cultural Studies and Feminist Studies) from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and has taught at UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, and California College of the Arts. Prior to graduate school, she began her film career while earning a BA in Film Production and English Literature at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.
